Empties Post Volume III: October 2013

*waves* hello guys! I’ve been MIA-ing for abit no excuses, just busy. Will let you guys know in due time. :) Anyways! I feel like I’ve been doing soo many empties in the past few months, but I guess that’s good because it means I’m using up products! I’ve already have a huge bag of products for the next post, because this is more of a September post rather than October *oops*.

Okay let’s just jump right in! First up, hair products!

Lush Retread Hair Conditioner - I got this conditioner solely because I know that it goes well with Rehab. It did leave my hair feeling soft, I loved it but I don’t think I’ll run out and get it just because it’s pretty pricey and I don’t find it is a must-have.

Lush Rehab Shampoo - I love this! It really helps tame my lion’s mane. I’ve actually ran out to get the huge 500grams bottle but I’ve not started using it! I’ve had a sudden influx of hair shampoo so I’m still making my way through my stash! Honestly I felt like it was sooo pricey but I am glad I caved in & got it because it really does help tame my hair and it does make it more manageable.

Retrieve Hair Essence – I really love this product, it helped tamed my hair so well. It was pretty pricey like $60-70 for the bottle but so worth it! It’s an oil but it doesn’t leave my hair feeling all greasy and gross.

Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle - Okay first thing, I really don’t fancy the packaging because it doesn’t have lid! So basically there is a hole on the under side & you just squeeze it, it won’t leak but it’s just odd to have a product without a lid. Other than that, it does exactly what it promises. I honestly leave it on for less than 3 minutes but it leaves my hair feling sooo soft!

Bioderma Créaline H20 - Everyone loves Bioderma, I mean do I need to say more? What can be better than Bioderma? Bioderma wipes! They are sooo convenient and get rid of all the makeup.

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes - I personally do not like this wipes because I feel that it really doesn’t remove ever single smidgen of makeup. I usually use this only after removing my makeup with another remover or to remove swatches. The cloth was a tad rough for the eye area too.

Korres Pomegranate Wipes - These wipes smelled odd, I did’t like the scent at all! In terms of how it worked with removing makeup I donn’t think it did a fantastic job, it was just alright. Won’t be repurchasing it.

Bifesta Eye Makeup Remover - This product has been repurchased countless times, I really can’t tell you how many times I’ve repurchased this! This might be my favourite and the best eye makeup remover I’ve used. My eyes are rather sensitive so they get irritated with quite a few eye makeup removal products. This eye makeup remover is a bi-layer remover, it does contain oil so if you’re someone who doesn’t like removers with oil this won’t be your remover of choice.

Clarins Extra Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser – Firstly I love the scent! I mean it smells like peach, what can be better than that? I have again repurchased this countless times and will probably never stop! Although Clarins promotes this as a one-step cleanser but I use this more as a toner. It feels amazing and does make my skin feel dry or tight. I can’t rave enough about it, I love it & you should go get a whiff of it!

Clarins Double Serum - I don’t think I’ve used a serum other than Hydraquench from Clarins but I decided to try this (because it was kinda new) & I really love it! From the name suggest it has 2 different types of serum both helping to target age-control. I really notice that my skin texture and skin tone improved while using it. I’ve since repurchased it and I just started using it.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate - When I first purchased it I felt like it worked really well. Then I got tired of it & stopped using it. It is  a good product but I’m not sure why I stopped using. My mom took over and she loved it! It really helped rehydrate her skin because she had a period where her skin was getting rather dry. I have repurchased & I am using it probably twice a week now. Even though it’s oil it will not make your skin oilier, however I do not use a moisturizer when I use this as I find it too rich if I do.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Capsules - I love love love this product! I get this every so often when I feel like my complexion looks dull. This really helps to brighten up and smoothens out my skin. If you need a pick-me-up or a boost I do recommend trying this out.

Clarins Lotus Face Oil - I used this mixed with my toner and applied the face oil every night. It felt really nourishing and it kept my skin feeling soft and hydrated throughout the night.  I would definitely repurchase this some time soon!

YSL Forever Youth Liberator Nutri Creme - I received it when I bought the YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum, which I’ll be talking about in my next empties! It was okay but I wasn’t wow-ed by the product, I don’t think I’ll repurchase it again.

Dr Ci:Labo Aqua-Collagen-Gel Enrich-Lift-EX - I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! I received this in one of the VT and I am usually one who doesn’t like asian skincare at all. Not sure why but my skin just doesn’t do well with asian skincare. However my skin LOVES this, it just helps make my skin feel SO SO SO soft the very next day and it really does hydrate my skin. The texture of the product is gel like hence doesn’t feel  heavy on your skin.

Chanel Cleansing Water for Face and Eyes - I love this product, it smells nice and removes face makeup rather well but I don’t find it does a good job removing eye makeup (unless you have super light eye makeup). It doesn’t remove waterproof eyeliner well and I have to tug my skin quite a bit to remove it.

Bath and Body Works Nectarine Mint Hand Foaming Wash - This is kinda random but I had to include this because I loved it. I love nectarine scents and this was just perfect. There wasn’t any mint scent so it was really just hardcore nectarine which I love! Plus it pumps out as a foam which is awesome. This brings hand washing to the next level, no joke. lol. I want to repurchase it but this is a summer scent so that means I’ve gotta wait till next year!

Nip + Fab Pistachio Sundae - I heard quite a few youtubers comparing this to the Laura Mercier Pistachio Body Butter so I had to try this since that was limited edition. This smelled like pandan, yes pandan to me. I finished it up but I wasn’t a huge fan of it so I won’t be repurchasing it.

LemonGrass House Rose Absolute Shower Gel - I think I received this in a Bellabox/VT. I love travel sized items and used it at the gym. It smells like straight up rose and I really like it. It doesn’t lather up a lot and is quite thick but it gets the job done.

Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom –  Continuing with my nectarine addiction I had a sample vial of this. This reminds me of Australia just because one summer before I came back for holiday I bought a whole bunch of nectarine to bring back to Singapore. I had to leave the bag open the whole night and the next day my whole apartment just smelled like nectarine! This really smells just like that and I love it! I’ve recently purchased & I just love it! :D

Woahhhhh if you made it to the end of this mega long post, thank you very much! I hope you’ve enjoyed the mini reviews of the products.
