TopShop Beguiled Lipstick & Smart Lip Cream Review.

Since Topshop launched their makeup line in Singapore, I always knew I wanted to get something don’t ask me why it took me 2 years+ to get my first product. That’s just how it went.lol.

Anyways I finally went in & decided to grab these! I’ve been eyeing another polish but I have not seen it in Singapore! >:( I got mine at Topshop ION & if my memory serves me well the lipstick was $19 & lip cream was $13-15(?).

Topshop Lipstick and gloss

Firstly, why does my lipstick tube look sooo discoloured? The top part just looks soooo yellow! The packaging especially the lipstick feels quite cheap, & when I say that I mean it feels cheaper than drugstore products!

Topshop Lipstick and gloss1

Lipstick in Beguiled & lip cream in Smart (quite a weird name.lol). I do like the polka dots & strips on the packaging!

Topshop Lipstick and gloss2

I loveeee the berry looking colour & I knew I needed the lip cream the minute I saw it! I know the lipstick looks soooo dark, but when worn it’s a very pretty wearable berry colour!

Topshop Lipstick and gloss3

This might be super random & odd, but I love the font for ‘LIPS’ & ‘LIP CREAM’. LOL!

Topshop Lipstick and gloss4

The usual doe-foot applicator, nothing fancy.

Topshop Lipstick and gloss5-001

Swatches! They actually looks super pretty on the hand & when applied to the lips it’s very pretty toooo!

Topshop Lipstick and gloss7

Beguiled lipstick on it’s own! It’s quite a pretty colour but has almost no staying power! Considering that it is a darker colour, I would think it would leave abit of the stain but it didn’t!

Topshop Lipstick and gloss6

Okay, so now about the lip cream. It looks kinda pretty on the lips BUT I feel the quality is REALLY lousy! Firstly since it is marketed as a lip cream, I would assume that it would be more creamy, thicker & less runny. I think the reason why they market it as a cream vs gloss is because it is not sticky or tacky. Since it doesn’t have the stickiness they decided it would be apt to name it a lip cream. It just didn’t work because they used the formulation that glosses usually have minus the stickiness which is a no go because that just equates to glossed up face.

This product does not stay on you lips at all! In fact you can get this all over your face, no I’m not kidding. If you go out with this and the wind blows your hair & it touches your lips, get ready for some mess all over your face. While snapping picture I accidentally brushed against the top of my lips, low & behold I had gloss on my NOSE. I mean that is kinda of ridiculous, what kind of lousy the staying power is this.

I think it is mainly because it isn’y sticky. I would tell you to save your pennies on something better, the lipsticks are okay nothing to shout about but definitely skip the lip creams. They are just not worth your pennies albeit the gorgeous colours available.

Have you tried any TopShop makeup products which are worth trying? I’ve heard the polishes are pretty awesome, but I don’t think I’ll be getting them anytime soon!

NARS Satin Lip Pencils Swatches & Review!

Hello! I’m sure from my IG you would have already known my not-so-recent haulage of these NARS lip satin pencils & let’s just get it out there, I LOVE THEM. I mean they are all I want to wear ever since they have joined my collection!

I went down with Mabel, Sophia & Sara to get these awesome babies & I decided to pick up 4 gorgeous colours!

NARS Satin Lip Pencil

As always, the classic NARS black packaging! If you are wondering where to find these, you can find them at the NARS counter at Tangs Beauty Hall for S$37 for 0.07oz or 2.2grams.

NARS Satin Lip Pencil2

I love how the tips looks, so round & chubby looking (definitely doesn’t look like that now.lol). NARS come out with a good range of colour, but there were definitely alot more brights compared to neutrals! However there seem to be a neutral for EVERY skin tone, no joke! NARS did well, as always!

NARS Satin Lip Pencil3

I love love how NARS always put the colour of the pencil at the ends of the pencil, it’s so much easier for you to know which colour you’re grabbing without having to open the caps!

The downside which everyone have already been talking about is that you have to sharpen these pencils, it’s not a biggie to me honestly. They feel sooo nice I could live with sharpening them! I figured it might be because they are soooo creamy that if they were to be in a retractable tube, they might melt easily. *don’t quote me on this please! Purely my own deduction!*

NARS Satin Lip Pencil6

NARS Satin Lip Pencil7

Swatches! You can see that all the colours are soooo pigmented & gorgeous! If you’re wondering why there is 1 extra swatch, I’ll explain later!

NARS Satin Lip Pencil1

I know everyone was saying how Yu was like super gorgeous, must have etc but before I went to NARS telling my gf & Sara, I won’t be getting Yu! Haha, who knew one swatch & I was sold. I need it in my life! I am usually very scared of such colours because they tend to be more blue-tone & they look terrible on me IMO :( but Yu has such a nice-not-too-blue undertone! It is still bright, but I love bright lips! :D

Disclaimer : Please ignore the ‘spidery’ looking lashes, I was trying a different mascara & I hate it so please don’t remind me. Thankyouverymuch.

NARS Satin Lip Pencil12

NARS Satin Lip Pencil4

Luxembourg is probably my favourite bold colour! It’s very wearable (to me) since I do have pretty pigmented lips I do not really like nude shades! For me it’s the perfect kind of raspberry colour but it is very very bright & pigmented! You can also use it as a stain so that you don’t get the full ‘impact’ of the brightness!

SAM_8014

NARS Satin Lip Pencil5

Majella is also one of those colours I was eyeing even before it was launched! It is such a gorgeous red, which isn’t too warm or cool so it’s worn easily by most skin tones!

NARS Satin Lip Pencil14

NARS Satin Lip Pencil15

Palais royal is a very vampy dark shade (though in the picture it isn’t showing off as vampy!) I contemplated getting this or Hyde Park which is super gorgeous toooo! Bagged this home & I can say I don’t regret! It is alot darker than what I would usually wear, but it looks lovely as a stain & I don’t think it looks too bad on me (if I could say so myself.lol).

NARS Satin Lip Pencil13

NARS Satin Lip Pencil8

So, I picked up Het-loo a week after I got the rest. I was soooooo addicted to wearing these awesome lip pencils that I really did not want to use another lip product! I happen to be wearing a brighter lip colour & did not want to wear a bright lip colour, hence I decided I need a nude! I mean it should have occurred to me to get a nude amongst all the bright, but evidently I was soo drawn to the brights! I ended up picking Het-loo which I lOVE!!! It’s the perfect everyday nude, it doesn’t give me the dead look & would lovely if you have got tanner skin like me!

NARS Satin Lip Pencil10

I know because all the other colours are so bright, this looks kinda blah. But trust me, this is a very nice nude for the days where you would like to play it down!

NARS Satin Lip Pencil9

So that’s a round up of my NARS lip satins! They feel soooooo soft and creamy & definitely goes on like a dream! The darker colours do give abit of stain and they do hold up pretty well through out a meal.

I love them &  I feel like everyone must try these, though it’s really hard to stop at 1! You have been warned!

Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo 001 Pink Glow Haul & Swatches!

Hello hello! :D

I have been hauling way faster than I can blog, be prepared to see ALOT (I kid you not) of haul posts!

Today I got back &  was like I NEED TO SHOW THIS TO YOU GUYS NOWWWW. So here I am :)

Diorskin Nude Paradise Duo

Mabel & I met for brunch at Wild Honey this morning (it’s becoming a routine!<3), we decided to pop by DFS to check out the Dior Summer 2013. I did not think I would be tempted by the paradise duo because you know it’s a bronzer + blusher. Also these bronzers + blusher duos are usually very light & usually don’t suit me. I thought I would be safe to swatch it, yeah so I thought.

I swatched it & was telling Mabel, okay I need this! It is really gorgeous, YOU need it too. xD  So we popped by Tangs, asked the MA when it would be launched & she was so sweet because she sold it to me! :D It officially launches on the 1st of May.

Okayyyyy enough rambling, let’s get to the real deaaaaal!

Diorskin Nude Paradise Duo1

As usual, all Dior products come with the little velvet pouches, the brush pouch is EXTREMELY cute! I love it! You actually just slip the brush out of the pouch there isn’t a flap to close it..

Diorskin Nude Paradise Duo2

The packaging is sooo gorgeous, it feels heavy & luxe. However it is a fingerprint magnet! I love the design on the compact, it’s not the usual blue Dior compact yet at the same time it eludes Dior. <3

Diorskin Nude Paradise Duo5

It was quite hard to photograph the compact without having that light being seen! :(

Diorskin Nude Paradise Duo4

Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo 001 Pink Glow! It is soooo gorgeous, I absolutely love how it looks!

Diorskin Nude Paradise Duo6

Diorskin Nude Paradise Duo7

Diorskin Nude Paradise Duo9

The bronzer colours are pretty nice & nude on my skin but the blusher colours just makes it totally worth it. The name is very apt, nude it is really pretty nude & natural looking!

N is more of a bronzer, while D has some highlighting sheen! U & E are just 2 different shades of blusher to really help complement the bronzer. You can use them on it’s own since the pan is not very small, however I love the look when they are being swirled together! It does mess the perfect product though, with the mixing of colours :( LOL! The brush helps dust the products off and makes it perfect again! :D

It retails for $90 at any Dior counters, which is a pretty decent price since you are getting blusher + bronzer & also a kabuki brush!! Definitely get it if you are thinking about it because it is limited edition & I’m sure it will sell like hotcakes since it is a very wearble colour!

Have a good Sunday lovelies!

Burberry Spring’13 Haul + Swatches!

So when I saw the promo pictures & hauls made by the girls in the US, I knew I had to get this awesome duo! Most of the Burberry blushers are sooo sheer! Though I’ve always wanted one because they feel soooo soft and buttery!

Burberry Spring'13

Spring’13!

Burberry Spring'131

Hello gorgeous!

Burberry Spring'132

I loveeeee the packaging of their blusher! Soooo gorgeous & sleek!

Burberry Spring'133

Hydrangea blusher x Pink Sweet Pea gloss! <3 How gorgeous are the colours!

Burberry Spring'134

Pink Sweet Pea lipgloss, it retails for S$39 at Tangs, it’s super pretty it has a nice sheen to it too!

Burberry Spring'136

Swatches! I think it looks soooo gorgeous! It is also super pigmented & you can wear it on it’s own! It feels really nice too! HOWEVER it has an ‘old lady’ smell? I don’t know if it’s just me but I dislike the scent so badly! :( No idea why I did not take a whiff of it before buying it.

Burberry Spring'135

Hydrangea blusher, it retails for S$61 at Tangs. It is sooooo gorgeous!

Burberry Spring'137

Being a blusher fanatic,  I was ecstatic to get my very first Burberry blusher. It is sooooo soft and definitely very pigmented! LOOK AT THE SWATCH! Super excited to wear it tomorrow! :D

I think these are limited edition (the cursed word.lol) so if you think you need these, you had better start running to the mall now!

Have a great week ahead my dears! :)

YSL Artic Night Wet & Dry Eye Shadows Swatches

In December while the GF & I were shopping around, looking for each other’s Christmas presents. I really didn’t know what I want & we chanced upon this palette, which I swatched & I fell in love! Thanks to the SA who was kinda lazy, she didn’t wanna help us because they were closing :( We went back again in the next few days & wanted to get it & it was OOS!!! >.<

So since then I have been on the hunt, literally to get this palette! I even asked Mabel to check out for me when she went to HK if they had it! So last week, I went to Ion YSL, just trying my luck again (like I always do, lol) the guy MA was super nice! He said he doesn’t have it but can check if Tangs still have it, he called & they said they have got a few left & well, I flew there. LOL! I was asking the lady why they still had these palettes since the last time I went it was OOS, she said the warehouse had a few left & they send it to Tangs! SCORE! The feeling of getting a LE product which is soooo hard to find, is beyond words. HAHA!

OKAY ENOUGH RAMBLING! LOL!

Low & behold, you are finally mineeeeeeeee! :D

YSL Northern Lights

It comes with a sequin sleeve. This is my first YSL palette! So I am super excited! :D

YSL Northern Lights1

How gorgeous is this palette?! I just LOVE the colours!

YSL Northern Lights4

I think the applicators are super cute & unique! I actually wonder how to use those plastic applicators, shall do some research! heh.

YSL Northern Lights5

Arctic Night :)

YSL Northern Lights2

GORGEOUS!!! My 2 favourite colours are the brown & the dark purplish blue colour! :D

YSL Northern Lights3

Swatches! These shadows are actually quite hard to apply with your fingers, you’ve got to use a brush to get the best effect.

I wore them out yesterday & posted a picture on instagram (@elizabeauty), I did notice they faded/creased abit after about 6 hours, but I’ve got to do a proper test before I pass the verdict on them. What I know for now, the colours are absolutely gorgeous! <3

Urban Decay Oz The Great & Powerful Glinda & Theodora Palette Swatches!

I initially wanted to order them when I did some hauling with the other girls but decided to pass on it. Being the Wicked musical fan, I decided I should get at least one! Plus it is limited edition (the worst 2 words ever created.LOL). Hence, I was stoked when I read that the Oz palettes are hitting our shores & I went down to Sephora the day it launched!

I stood in Sephora for AGES, told my friends that the staff probably think I’m trying to rob the whole Sephora, walking up & down deciding which palette I should go home with. Finally I decided that as much as I am #teamglinda, I could not miss out on being #teamtheodora too! So of course I ended up walking home with both palettes. LOL. What’s a girl to do when UD is so smart in making me want both?! lol! The whole time I was thinking how great it would be if they had combined it into just 1 palette.LOL!

On the side not, why did UD call the palette Theodora?! The wicked witch of the west is called Elphaba! Isn’t she? HMMMM. thanks subtleshimmer for clarifying hehe.

Okay enough blabber gibberish! On to what you’re really here for! THE PALETTES!!!!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes

How gorgeous are the palettes? Even the boxes are so gorgeous! I actually love how they don’t actually put the girl’s faces on the front, I think it looks sooo much better this way! So yay Urban Decay!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes2

Let me know if you’re #teamglinda or #teamtheodora okay! :D :D

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes3

Theodora palette! I love how the back is sooooo gorgeous, with all the shadows ‘swatches’ + their names!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes4

Glinda palette – I love how the lip colour is named after the characters, truly limited edition.LOL!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes5

How gorgeous are the picture cards?!?!!! OMG I think it is one of the prettiest picture cum tutorial cards. I feel like I should frame these up, just because they are sooo gorgeous!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes6

#teamGlinda!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes8

This is the back of the Glinda picture card! I forgot to take the Theodora palette’s card but you get the idea :) So basically, they do use like almost ever shade. lol!

OKAY on to the palettes!!!!!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes9

Glindaaaa, the colours are all very ‘sweet’, kinda subtle & slightly frosty-er than Theodora.

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes10

The whole Glinda set. Picture card x palette x eyeliner x lip colour!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes14

Don’t mind the many pictures, they were too gorgeous to stop at 1 :)

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes17

Swatches without a base :) They are super soft & buttery! I love love love the new UD eyeshadow formulation, they have improved soooo much! Magic is soooo gorgeous it has tiny gold shimmers too! Although Tornado looks & is super pigmented, you can sheer it out! I wore it the other day in my crease, sheerly & it was gorgeous!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes7

#teamTheodora!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes11

Alot more earthly, more matte shades tooo! The matte shades are soooooo buttery!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes18

Theodora is honestly abit easier to wear because of the many neutral x matte shades! I like the fact that they added a nice red lip colour, just to spice things abit a tad bit too!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes13

The shadows up close! UD Wizard of Oz Palettes16

Swatches of Theodora. Soooo prettyyyyy! :) The greens are just gorgeous!

Both of the palettes are sooo pretty, you tell me, how to choose?! Just get both ;) HAHA!

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes15

In case you did not already know, these shadows can be removed & slotted in interchangeably! All of the new Urban Decay are able to be remove from their pots! So you can travel with your favourite shadows! & honestly if you are thinking ‘Oh, it is so hard to remove.’ ‘I’m going to accidentally spoil my shadows.’ No worries, they are soooooo easy to remove from their casing, UD has really done a great job with their new palettes! Plus they clip in so you know that they are secured :)

UD Wizard of Oz Palettes12

Final picture of the two stars of the show! Thank you Urban Decay, this was awesome (probably more so because I watched the musical & read the books!). I love the pigmentation & the formulation! Oh they retail for S$78 at Sephora! :)

Both palettes are pretty, but if you’re looking for more neutrals, then I would say go with Theodora. Glinda is slightly more unique (to me) & has slightly more pastel ‘sweeter’ colours.

Hope this has helped you if you were contemplating which palette to get! Do share which you end up picking up! :D

Maybelline Goodie Bag + Giveaway!

So just before CNY, I went down to the Maybelline office & collected the little goodie bag they prepared for me & I was pleasantly surprised! Thank you Maybelline for being so generous & stay tunned to the end of a giveaway guys! :) They were super generous & covered almost every aspect of makeup, excluding foundation, everything was covered!

Maybelline Goodies Bag

The mandatory group shot!

Maybelline Goodies Bag2

The lips product, baby lips x coloursensational moisture extreme lippie in toffee cream! I loveeee baby lips & I think I own maybe 5-7 baby lips. HAHA in case you were wondering, yes obsessed is my middle name :) & because I’ve got so many babylips, I will be giving this away! :D

Maybelline Goodies Bag5

Toffee Cream! A pretty nude-ish colour for me! :D However it doesn’t feel as hydrating as the other Maybellne lippies i’ve tried, especially the watershine ones! Was expecting it to be more hydrating since it says moisture extreme in it’s name!

Maybelline Goodies Bag3

Blush ‘em in I love pink! It has 2 colours in the palette! A peachy & a pink colour. I will also be giving this away, just because drugstore blushers just never work on my tanned skin! Regardless of the brand!

Maybelline Goodies Bag1

The eyes! *flutter lashes*

Maybelline Goodies Bag6

Eyebrow pencil in grey, when will I ever use grey brow pencil? Does anyone use grey for their brow? Let me know! & masterliner eye pencil which I know alot of people rave about, so I’m pretty stoked to be able to try this! :D

Maybelline Goodies Bag7

Colour Tattoo!!!! I’ve bought my fair share of these babies to know that they are pretty awesome. Though because I have very oily lids, i still do need to use a primer underneath but if you don’t then you will probably do fine with just this! Painted purple & audacious asphalt!

Maybelline Goodies Bag4
Swatches of all the gorgeous products! (:

Now onto the fun part, the giveaway!! I am giving away these on my instagram!

Go to my instagram @elizabeauty to find out how to enter! It is opened till 9th March 2013!:D Good luck girls & once again, thank you Maybelline! <3

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover Review + Demo!

I’ve seen a few beauty bloggers & vloggers used this kind of remover, where you dip your finger in move it around slightly & tadah~ polish removed! I have not previously seen it in Sg, so I told mom to get it for me in aussie! However 2 days ago when I was at metro, I SAW IT, was super excited & called gf, asking if she wanted to get one too!

It retails for $17, but metro was having their 20% + 20% for members sale so I got it for about $11! Absolute bargain!

Bonjouris 1 Second Remover

So the claims are that it removes polish at 1 second, per nail without cotton wool!  Let’s put this to the test! ;) Honestly, it’s a pretty nifty idea!

Bourjois 1 Second Remover

On the inside, there is a little hole for you to insert you finger in, but maybe having a few more holes would be helpful. lol!

Bourjois 1 Second Remover1

For the sake of this experiment, I decided to use a few different kind of formulation polishes, just to get a better idea!

Thumb – Creme finish (Nicole by OPI – Keeping Up With Santa)
Index Finger – Glitter (China Glaze – Tinsel Town)
Middle Finger – Creme x Glitter (OPI – You’re sucha Budapest + polka.com)
Ring Finger – Holographic  (A-England – Lady of the Lake)
Pinkie – Dark polish (OPI – Road House Blue)

Bourjois 1 Second Remover2

Put your finger in & make sure you do a little wriggle in the bottle, if you just leave it as it is, the polish will still be on your nails. Some might be removed but there will still be remnants! I timed each finger! The fastest, which were the creme finishes, as expected took about 3-5 seconds. I was surprised the creme x glitter took just slightly more than 10 seconds & no surprise the glitter one took about 45 seconds.

In saying this I definitely did more than a wriggle to remove the polish, I “brush” my finger on the sponge so as to help it remover quicker, more so for the glitter polishes.  For creme polishes, you actually can get away with just dipping your finger in, it will just take slightly longer as compared to if you wriggle it abit!

Bourjois 1 Second Remover3

The biggest issue I have with this is that, it leaves all the glitter inside the bottle hence you can see from the picture that while I was removing the polish off my other fingers, they became glitter-fied from polka.com.lol. & this is only from 1 finger of glitter, imagine if it is all 10 fingers *shudders*

Bourjois 1 Second Remover4

Overall nails are pretty clean (don’t mind the colour near the nail bed, was doing intensive swatching today) & polish was removed pretty well!

Since it contains almond oil, when you remove your finger you can definitely feel like there is a ‘layer’ of something on your fingers, which I slightly dislike. Washing your hands will remove that ‘layer’ so nothing much to worry about! Another thing is that when you open the bottle, the nail polish remove scent is really quite strong, stronger than if you were to use a cotton pad. It makes sense since the whole sponge is soaked with remover. However, it is awesome for travel being so compact & you will just need this to remove the polish!

Do drop me comments if you’ve tried it & do you like or dislike it? I’m still on the fence, I don’t hate it but I don’t love it too! :D

Have a great Monday girls! <3

Empties Post Volume I: January 2013

Hey girls! So  I loveeee reading/watching empties post/videos! I have actually tried to do this post before but well, it never happened. lol! I just love finding out what others have been loving so I am starting a new segment on my blog & this is empties post volume I! *yay* I will post short reviews or my verdict on these products before I toss them away!

Empties

A collection of my empties (some might have afew more usage), well kinda because I left out a few items so they were not included in the picture above!

First up, we have haircare & bodycare!

Empties1

Phyto Phytolisse Anti Frizz Shampoo - I have never felt like a shampoo on it’s own has amazing charms to work & really de-frizz my hair. Same thing with this phyto product, it does help smoothen my hair slightly but total anti frizz, not really. Maybe that’s just coz I’ve got way too frizzy hair.lol!

TheBodyShop Satsuma Body Polish - This is one product which I cannot live without!! Whenever I run out of this body polish, I run out to get a new one! Satsuma is one of my favourite scents from TBS so I usually grab it! It smells so fresh & makes me feel so alive after a shower! This is used on days when I feel my skin is needing a scrub to brighten it but I don’t have time/don’t feel like using a full on scrub. This works well since it is just used in replacement of my usual shower gel.

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Skin Brightening Facial Scrub - Well I am still using this, not exactly done with it yet & honestly I’ll be sad to part with it! I got this in Aussie when I went in Sept & have not been able to find this range in Sg (why!!!!). I have been using it every single day since I got back from Aussie & I LOVE IT! I need more, my mom is heading back to Aussie next month & yes this will be one of the products that I’ll be getting mom to grab for me five one tube. It has a citrus scent which is soooo refreshing in the morning! Plus it has so beads which really helps in slight exfoliation.

Philosophy Melon Daiquiri - I love love love their shower gels! I bought this when Philosophy just hit our shores but I didn’t use it immediately. It lathers up ALOT, maybe because it is also made to be a bubble bath, but I love that it lathers up so much!  Plus it just smells amazing :)

Phyto ColourTreated Hair Conditioner - Just showing 1 of the container but I’ve use sooo many of these. Since I have really thick hair one little tub can last me 2 washes. This product unlike the shampoo I feel really makes a difference to my hair. It really helps soften & make my hair more managable. As for how it works for colour treated hair, I did not really observe any difference, maybe because I wasn’t paying any attention to it.

LUSH Sympathy For The Skin (Not pictured) –  It contains vanilla, cocoa butter & even banana which helps it to be really really moisturizing! I do love how this product works, it isn’t very sticky or tacky. Only down side is that it is in a tub so if you’re the kind who don’t like to dig your hand in products then you might not like it. As for me I don’t feel it’s much of a biggie. Not going to repurchase because it is pretty pricey, plus it has a pretty short shelve life because it’s all natural & I might enjoy my TheBodyShop body butters just a slight bit more, but it’s nice to have a switch up once in a while!

Empties2

Next up more makeup related products!

Clarins Instant Eye Make-Up Remover - I LOVE LOVE Clarins to bits, I’m sure everyone reading my blog would already know but I feel that this eye makeup remover was, meh. It wasn’t the best I’ve used neither is it the worst, it was just one of those products that I’ve tried & probably will not repurchase. If you wear light eye makeup this works well but with mascara it does take slightly longer to remove. I am still sticking by & loving my Bifesta remover for the time being.

MAC Cleanse Off Oil - I am honestly not a huge fan of makeup removing oils, not sure why, but I just don’t fancy them. Maybe because they tend to cloud up my eye. This removes makeup pretty well, eye makeup & all but the fact that I have to ‘rub’ it over my eye for a bit before it removes the mascara doesn’t please me. Another product which I’ll not repurchase.

Revlon ColourStay - Do I need to say more? Love this product! Awesome coverage & hence I only use it on days where I really feel I need extra coverage. Not a foundation I use on a day to day basis but I feel like I must always have it at hand, just cause. & yes already bought a back up. hehe.

MAC Brush Cleanser - This belonged to momsie, & for the longest time she was using it to wash her brushes!!! Just imagine how much she was using, because that was what the MAC MA taught her! After I taught her how to wash her brushes using baby shampoo/Diaso detergent she has not used it. I took it from her for spot cleaning & I love how it works! Helps me wash my brushes lesser, since I do feel like when I wash them too much they get stray hair much faster! Nothing except olive oil is able to remove my gel liner from the brush but this works like magic! Love how I won’t ever have crusty eyeliner brushes! yay! & I’ve already bought a bottle since.

Benefit Hello Flawless - This product has been repurchased at least twice. I love love this product, I don’t usually use this with a foundation since it is a two way. I usually wear it on it’s own since I don’t need much coverage at all &  yes I do get flawless skin :) Not gonna repurchase it at the moment since I’m trying to get through more products but I would highly highly recommend it!

Empties3More makeup products since I forgot to include them!

MAC Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation - I actually am kinda neutral about this foundation. I feel with a good base this foundation does look pretty smooth & satin looking. On it’s own it’s just okay, not that I don’t like it but I also don’t go around raving about it. The coverage is about a medium which can be sheered out slightly. It does tend to feel slightly ‘heavier’ on the skin for a foundation which isn’t full coverage.

the POREfessional Primer - This is one product which I get everyone around me to buy or I just buy it for them. HAHA It is pretty awesome, it gives a really nice smooth finishing to the skin & I wear it even with Benefit’s Hello Flawless & they make an excellent duo! I’ve managed to snagg the jumbo size from Sephora when it was available & I am so pleased with myself HAHA!

Last up, skincare products! :D

Empties4I’m sorry this picture is so blurry! I don’t even know why :( but I’ve tossed the products out so I can’t re-take the picture.

Clarins Bright Plus HP Brightening Hydrating Day Lotion - Phew sucha long name! I love this product, when used as a set with the serum & the toner. On it’s own I feel the efficacy isn’t as great as when used a set. When used as a set I really really see it brighten my skin! As for the day lotion on it’s own, just like every other Clarins product it smells amazing & it is pretty light in texture but it still hydrates the skin pretty well!

Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Gel - This product has been repurchased by me probably 7-9 times or there about. Yes, a testament of how much I love it? I think almost the whole time while I lived in Aussie I used this. If I remember correctly, this product only launched after I went over & when momsie was there we happened to see it in Myers & I haven’t looked back. It is amazingly hydrating, sometimes I feel its abit hard to see how hydrating products are in Sg since it is pretty humid but I remember in the cold winter months in Aussie this was my life saver! GF came over to visit me & this too was her life saver. I think it speaks volumes since I’ve already purchase almost 10 jars. I have been also using the lip balm, serum (again purchased numerous of these) & the mask. Basically I just love this range to bits.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, do leave a comment below if you did/did not enjoy it. I would love to hear from you guys! Also do remember to leave what you have been loving this past few months! Thanks for popping by! <3

Inglot Freedom System Haul + Swatches!

This post is overdue! Just coz I had to retake all the swatches because the 1st set was just not acceptable to me at all! So afew weeks ago (like last year) I went to JB for Inglot a few weeks ago! :D Mom got them as Part I of my Christmas present! :D

& if you follow me on insta (elizabeauty), you would have already seen this picture! Sooo pretty, all the colours! :D I had a hard hard time deciding what to get!

Inglot

This is not my first encounter with Inglot, I previously got their lip pot & gloss when I was living in Brissy! However at that time I was not into shadows at all! & now I’m just a tad too obsessed.

Inglot Shadows

Our haul + some Christmas gifts for family too :D Heh!

Inglot Shadows3

The freedom system! Honestly I don’t know why I didn’t take pictures! I totally should have, it was actually quite cool! There were SO many shades of colours & they were all grouped into their respective colour family. You can just imagine how gorgeous it was! We were given a flat magnetic ‘tray’ where we place the shadows we wanted & they would get it for us! :D

They are all pretty reasonably priced, *i feel like slapping myself because I accidentally threw the receipt* but I think the shadows were about 30ishRM which is less than S$15 each & the empty palette was about that price too!

Inglot Shadows4

Okay one HUGE peeve is that they have the odd-est names for their shadows, they use numbers followed by the shadow finishing, i.e P for pearl, SHI for shine, R for Rainbow & I am not sure what DS is. lol!

This picture is gonna help me sooooo much in the long run, because the shadows are almost impossible to remove from the palette!

Like how everyone raves about Inglot, this is yet another rave review! Their shadows & sooooo buttery & soft to the touch!

Because I’m kinda OCD & did not like the idea of mixing my ‘normal’ & ‘rainbow shadows tog, I got this palette. LOL! But in the end I still ended up having a ‘normal’ shadow -.- which I plan on using as a highlight! All the rainbow shadows are matte & yes, you can fit your brush into each individual colour to use them :)

I have been using my Inglot shadows & can I just add to the rave! They are sooo awesome! Cheaper than Mac & if I dare say, probably better than Mac!
